The story behind LP
LP grew up performing with his father, Longineu “Dr. Neu” Parsons II, a legendary trumpet player and genius composer. From an early age, LP came along with his dad to gigs, which gave him the opportunity to learn from the best: “Philly” Joe Jones, Von “The Professor” Barlow, Sam Rivers, Nat Adderley Jr., Lou Rawls, and many other accomplished musicians.
LP started performing with Dr. Neu’s band, Tribal Disorder before he turned 10. He went on to become a MULTI-PLATINUM recording artist, MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD WINNER, founding member of YELLOWCARD and LP3, drummer for Adam Lambert, drummer for NEW YEARS DAY and a featured artist for DRUM MAGAZINE. LP has performed for massive audiences all over the world and on shows such as, Conan O’Brian, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Oprah, American Idol, X Factor and The Voice.

In 2017, LP launched a new band with Tribal Disorder keyboard player, Zac Chester.
After coming up under the same mentor, Von “The Professor” Barlow and performing together for over a decade with Tribal Disorder and Longineu Parsons II Quartet, they’ve now formed a tight musical unit rooted in hardcore free improvisation.
